Giant bats who hunt from twilight on in temperate regions. They are especially common in the dark of the night in wild areas, when they fly in search of warm-blooded prey.

Giant bats are voraciously hungry, as it takes them a great deal of energy to fly, and so they are constantly hunting for fresh blood. They are a huge danger in the Kuzhan Jungle, where they thrum in swarms through the night in search of blood; and a nuisance in every other temperate land.
