The Beetlemen are a race of half-demons, fathered by a powerful extra-dimensional entity, temporarily exiled to the Altered Earth by sentence of his peers, through a dimensional rift which conveniently opened up during a majikal holocaust. The entity was tossed through on execution of sentence, and while scheming to open up a way back, he fathered the Beetlemen on an unknown mother. Annoyed that the would-be mother tried to eat him after their mating, he subsequently abandoned her and cursed his children.

The Beetlemen very much admire the City of Antra and would like to possess it for their own use. That is why, in this dimension, they are only to be found there. They are quite intelligent, though very alien in their cultural ideals.

The Beetlemen are self-spawning-if left alone and isolated from others of their race for half a year, they will become egg-laying females.

Beetleman majzi take advantage of their race's hard exoskeleton to etch runes of protection into their Warrior's carapaces.
