Ruthless predatory insects found only in the steaming jungles of the Yazran, the Braineating Mantis will attempt to spear its victim's head with its horny probiscis until it stops struggling, thereupon taking to the trees and feeding at leisure upon its prey.

The mantis is largely fearless, it does not hesitate or hang back if it senses prey. Traveling in the deeper reaches of the Yazran is unnerving because of the silent, watching presence of these creatures, largely unseen among the concealing foilage until they strike.
