Species of Carnivorous Orchids are native to both the Yazran and Kuzhan Jungles. These large flowers have a developed musculature based on hydraulics, and their attacks can be surprisingly swift and powerful. The large blooms piston on their powerful stems, swoop on and enclose prey in their "jaws," which are lined with backwards-folding serrated platelets that act as teeth and prevent escape.

Some species exude a sickly odor, sweet and musky almost beneath the level of scent. Others have no perfume, and these tend to seem the most innocuous, until they strike of course.
