Several varieties of giant carnivorous slugs are native to several of the swamps and fenlands of the lands.

The cold slug is found in the Mist Swamps and smaller fens to the east.

The smaller swarming slug is found in the Dimgar swamps and bogs of the Yazran.

Unlike the more placid normal slug, the rotating teeth of the carnivorous slugs are put to use shearing meat from bones. Regular slugs chew plant material, but the more aggressive giant varieties will seek out carrion and warmer flesh if they can get it. Although by no means rapid by mammalian standards, the rubbery pursuers can put on surprising bursts of speed and rarely tire of a pursuit.
