Giant moths on silent wings, they are attracted to light. The deserted streets late at night are made hazardous by their swoop, as they are attracted by the candles of lanterns and other flickering lights.
The iridescent powder of their wings is of value to alkhemetzi and majzi, and if collected carefully, may usually be sold without trouble.
Collecting the valuable dust is hazardous, however, as it can only be taken fresh from the wings of the dangerous giant insect, at night, in its native hunting grounds. Those hunting grounds are fraught with other dangers at night, and themselves are perilous to travel, especially in the wee hours favored by the moth for hunting.
