Dwarvan Wights appear to be self-manifesting undead; i.e., neither raised nor summoned through sorcerous intervention. For now, the phenomenon appears confined to the Barrens and is surmised to be a side-effect of the
majik currents that still flow strongly there, seeping through the ruined tunnels of the lost
Dwarvan city.
They appear clad in the chainmail of the Ancient Dwarvs, if by now almost entirely rusted away. Those who have observed the wights report they seem almost to patrol certain areas, as if guarding in death something they guarded in life, though what it is they guard remains the secret of underground complexes that somehow survived the Cataclysm in part or whole.
Dwarvan Wights attack with rusted weapons, and their touch is greatly feared due to its experience draining effects. If struck by the touch of a Dwarvan Wight, a character will feel a sonorous chill seize them, drawing away a part of their life energies and reducing their experience points.
Dwarvan Wights do not know fear, and they will always attack if they sense someone living in proximity.
