Large, ugly, blue-green caterpillars that feed on flesh. Thought to have orginally been created as a siege tool by a wizard, to plague the castles of his enemies and wear them down by causing their very water supply to well up and attack them from all angles and opportunities.
A Gnar Worm has an affinity for still or nearly still bodies of water, spawning after the first rain fills up. Not particularly deadly, the Gnar Worm's soft body is easily torn, allowing their mostly water liquid contents to drain out.
Their only calciferous part is their skull, which is often collected after dispatching a Gnar Worm, and a minor bounty issued upon them, as they are an annoyance to cities that provide amenities such as fountains, wells and rainbarrels to their citizens.
